David Ring, principal of Shire Town Engineering received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont in 1976. Since that time, he has been in private practice and has received a Structural Engineering and Land Surveying license in Vermont, Florida and New York. He has been involved with the designs of; roads and subdivisions, large and small scale water and wastewater systems, water tanks, foundations, internal building support systems, bridge, cofferdams, and stormwater systems. He has performed Resident Engineering and Construction Management services for many of those projects. He continues to work with a "hands on" approach for the municipal, private and public sector and still oversees the operations of the firm on a daily basis.

Responsible for engineering design, land surveying and land planning of private and public works projects for water, wastewater, road, and site design and for all aspects of business, employee and client relations.

Responsible for the final design of a 4 MGD sewer collection and transmission system including 26 miles of sewer line, 5 pumping stations, river crossings, force mains, etc. for the Town of Williston, Vermont in accordance with all federal, state and local standards.

Green Lake Hydroelectric Project. Geotechnical engineering, office engineering, quality control and liaison between the Engineer and the Contractor during the construction phase of a 67 million dollar hydroelectric facility.
